I enjoy the days when my daughter has me watch her little one. She is working on her third month now and is a dream to babysit. She lets me watch NFL network without asking me to change channels and she takes long naps after eating. This morning, I even took a nap when she went for hers.
It is really fun, and if you are a grand parent, I hope you get opportunities like this, where you can have fun spending time with your grand kids. I would not be able to do these babysitting sessions for my kids if I didn’t have the power of my marketing behind me.
Teach Your Parrots To Say Something…
Our neighbor, behind us, has at least one parrot. I think they may have more than one, but I am just guessing. The parrot wakes up around 8am and starts yelling at the top of its little lungs until sometime before 9pm. It would not be so bad if it were actually saying something.
But no, it squawks like the first woman to meet up with the psychopath in all the thriller movies. It really sounds like someone is getting the tar beat out of them. Every once in a while, I open a window and yell something like “get your own dang cracker!” But it hasn’t picked up the phrase. That is what makes me think they have more than one bird.
Birds usually are less likely to learn to speak when they are with their own kind. I know parakeets will not learn to talk when they have others in their cage.
Sometimes, our marketing is like the parrots. To us, since we wrote the ads, they sound like the next best thing since sliced bread. But to the person who receives 125 messages per day, it sounds like parrot squawking. In social media, it is even worse, as people can make your posts disappear from their news feed and their notifications.
So try really hard to make your message stand out, and you will get much better results than having your emails go to the spam folder or people unsubscribing from your list or dropping you from their social media.
