Twitter Marketing: An Oxymoron?

What Good Is Traffic Without Relationships?

What is the real reason people are so afraid of marketers? I know that whenever I meet a network marketer, I typically run the other way.

Why?

Mainly because they seem to have only one solution to whatever problem you or your friends may be having. Their Company!

“I have the worst hangnail…”

“Wow, Micheal, my network marketing company just showed us how to prevent hangnails by going paperless!”

“Cool, Bernie, but I got this from doing too many dishes and now my cuticles are dried out, too.”

“I’ll put you in a beautiful 1979 Pontiac Bonneville!”

“Funny you should mention that, our newest product is a dish detergent that eliminates the need for hands.” Bernie is getting excited now, “the dishes do themselves and put themselves away! Let me get you the order form!”

“Bernie, I thought you went paperless…”

“Micheal, I had some left over and didn’t want to waste a couple of trees for nothing. Go get your checkbook.”

When a marketer signs up for a social network, you are going to get bombarded…

“Thanks for following me – buy my stuff!” I actually get those kinds of direct messages automatically sent to me when I start following them. Funny thing is, those same people wonder why they start out really growing fast and then it levels off with more people leaving than coming in.

I have found that this is very true of a large percentage of people who are signing up for Bill Crosby’s Twitter Traffic Machine. To prove it, I am going to create 2 accounts in the same niche. Twitter Gives Susan Preston Social Media Muscle

In her first appearance on stage, Susan Preston showed she has Twitter Muscle!

After this picture, the paramedics said that the poor photographer never stood a chance!

In Orlando, Florida at the Castle Hotel, the scene was set for a Sunday afternoon filled with surprises as an SEO guru taught black het techniques and David Preston practically gave away his coaching program to attendees (those who stuck with Michael Penland and did not race home to watch NASCAR) of the Super Conference.

But the biggest surprise was reserved for the audience when Michael Penland introduced Susan Preston! She grabbed the audience by the heart and carried them through close to 90 minutes of Twitter education. She showed them how you bring people into your circle of influence through good content and seduction (the tribal variety that is taught so well by @JPMicek and @CoachDeb at SeduceATribe.com) to develop a list of listeners.

Susan appeared nervous for about 45 seconds, but she built up steam and soon had the crowd begging to ask her questions. She zoomed through her 46 slides and had lots of time left for interacting with the audience, many of whom still had not tweeted their first tweet! I was called upon to tell my story of how I introduced on of my clients, @MichelleRealtor, to Deb and JP Micek when they were looking for a home in LaJolla, CA this month. In the span of 7 days they found a home and started packing to move. Being a connector is one of my passions on Twitter.

It was very nice to see people running to the back of the room with Susan’s order form to get started with the Twitter Muscle Inner Circle, an exclusive mastermind that allows Twitter Muscular people to talk about their successes and struggles with the group to get past any problems they may be having.
