Judging from the word in the blogosphere, the buzz is that Wordpress 2.8.6 solves a major security hole in Wordpress that allows a script to add content to the root directory of your website. This is scary in that you can end up having a host of web pages promoting porn or infecting people with viruses without you knowing about it. So far nothing major has happened, but a lot of people are finding their blogs have a blank look when they go to it.
The fix is to install Wordpress 2.8.6 immediately. What happened is that the vulnerability allowed hackers to be able to add blank index.html files into the root directories of domains where blogs were present.
So if you get to your domain and you see a blank white page, you are likely the victim of this vulnerability.
